Syria, Bosra Roman Theatre

Syria gained independence in April 1946, is an Arab country in Southwest Asia, bordering Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea to the west, Israel to the southwest, Jordan to the south, Iraq to the east, and Turkey to the north. Its capital city, Damascus. The population is mainly Muslim, but with a significant Christian minority.

St.Simon (Samaan) church in Aleppo is considered to be one of the oldest remaining churches in the world.

Al Azem Palace, Damascus was built in 1750 by As’ad Pasha al-Azem who was the Ottoman governor in Damascus. The structure is made of white limestone and black basalt.
